Learning, Teaching and Assessment (LTA)

Background

This research group focuses on learning, teaching and assessment in primary and secondary schools and colleges. The staff involved have played leading roles in researching and developing the curriculum and assessment of schools and colleges, and are heavily involved in research projects, research supervision and initial teacher education in the field. The group is currently involved in leading work in vocational accreditation, and assessment and testing, especially in mathematics education. We hold the most comprehensive UK database on school curricula and assessment, providing many oppor4tunities for empirical research in the field of curriculum monitoring and assessment analysis.
